For those interested, my babies are for sale to approved homes ONLY. Due to the limited number of litters I have each year I usually have a waiting list. Often I only breed 2 or 3 litters of rats per year and perhaps twice as many litters of mice. Potential new owners will be carefully screened to assure that they and their new family member are a good match. They must agree to properly care for their rats/mice, giving them quality lab block diets, no cedar or pine shavings, and lots of love. I only sell breeding stock to serious fanciers interested in showing. All rats are sold with and extensive guarantee and new owners are required to sign a detailed contract. Tarot Rats & Mice is located in Southern California. At this time I do not ship, and all babies must be picked up at my home in Palmdale, California, or at an AFRMA Southern California show. When I breed my goal is always to improve on the varieties I choose to work with in each litter while maintaining excellent temperaments and producing healthy, well adjusted animals. Because I choose not to sell rats or mice to pet stores or comercial breeders I only breed as many litters as I can place in good homes. This allows me to enjoy each litter, handle the youngsters from birth, and assure that each is well socialized and will make an excellent pet. |
RAT LITTER Born July 3, 2002 G. CH. TR City Slicker X Tarot's Total Diva My current rat breeding program is aimed at improving some specific physical traits in my rats. This is involving breeding outside just Siamese. This litter is out of one of the typiest females I have ever been lucky enough to produce. Diva is a Russian Blue Self Satin with a wonderful temperament. She will be bred to "TR City Slicker who is owned by Nancy Ferris and who has won Best In Show Six times. This is a very close breeding done with the intent to reproduce the wonderful temperaments, great health, and beautiful type seen in this line. I still have a few companion quality females available. This litter contains Black Self, and Blue Self. Please contact me for details. As stated before, I only breed two or three litters per year and do not often have youngsters available. My mouse litters currently contain Fawn, Red, and Beige Brindle, as well as the ocational Black and Chocolate Tan, and now and then other colors pop up as well. My recent litters have produced both Standard and Satin coats. As usual I am concentrating on improving the clarity of the stripes on my Brindles as well as improving overall type. I frequently have young pet quality females and males available, and breeding or show quality mice are available on a limited basis. Please contact me for details. |

RAT LITTER Born July 12, 2002 G. CH. Tarot's Simply Dapper BP X Minutia's Only Ebony This particular litter is the result of a carefully planned linebreeding aimed at producing the wonderful temperaments, health, and conformation I take pride in, while also getting back to my goal of breeding quality Siamese. Ebby's father Elliot has not only a sweet temperament, but he is also a stunning Siamese. The only thing that prevented him from winning high awards at shows was that during his entire carer he had to compete with Slick (who was undefeated and a record setting best in show winner). Ebby carries siamese, and there should be a number of Siamese babies in this litter. I expect Seal Point Siamese and Black Self babies, and there is a strong possiblility of Blue Point/blue Self and Russian Blue Point/Russian Blue Self. Dapper is a favorite of mine, a good looking Siamese boys who has a Best In Show to his name, as well as two best pet awards. He has the distinction of being featured on the front cover of the Wall Street Journal for the article they did on AFRMA rat shows.
